    约翰正在小声地背诵启示录第13小节，似乎也在提供一些建议。

    并没有人谴责刚才尼克的冲动，更不关心这种冲动的后果，尽管当时他们都或真或假地表达了惊讶。

    “why?（为什么？）”

    尼克漫不经心地回道。

    “we will need her for their information.（我们需要从她那里得到一些情报。）”

    “dont worry. just lea-ve that part to duhem the dick. he， or his penis， will handle it.（不用担心，迪昂会处理好的。）”

    “well， there is sething i need to highlight for you.（有件事，我需要强调一下。）”

    萨拉斯瓦蒂挡在了快要睡着的尼克面前，严肃地说。

    “since we are heading to the east， you need to remember that，（既然我们正要前往东方，你需要记住——”

    “no f-word or d-word in front of cy. i remember that.（不许在cy的面前讲脏话，我记得。）”

    尼克直接打断了萨拉，自觉地接上了她的话，但是下一句——

    “you know， i really think your whole no-dirty-words-education is a failure. she uses them more than i do recently.（我真心觉得你这个无脏话教育很失败，她最近讲这些的次数比我还多。）”

    “and whose fault is that?（那你认为这是谁的错？）”萨拉斜睨了他一眼。

    “definitely not mine. you are the person who in charge of her education， and alex is the librarian.（肯定不是我，负责她的教育问题的是你，负责教材的是亚历山大。）”

    尼克绕过萨拉，打量着路过的几间空舱室，一边打着哈欠，一边回道。

    “and you are not helping. you know how much our girl is influenced by you.（但你并没有帮忙，尽管你知道你对她的影响有多大。）”

    萨拉说完，就看到双胞胎、约翰和约克齐齐点头，大家一起看向了翻着白眼的尼克。

    “well， influenced does not mean decided. she still ha-ve the chance to lea fr other people ， to make new friends， and to see a bigger world.（影响并不代表塑造，她依然可以学习新东西，认识新朋友，拥有更大的世界。）“

    “so， thats why you let her go?（所以，这就是你让她离开的原因？）“

    这个问题像是点燃了一颗炸弹，瞬间安静的走廊里有呜咽声随着气流炸裂开来。

    尼克看着萨拉，两人坚定的对视中似乎有火光迸现。

    “i didnt， and i will never let her go.（我并没有，也不会让她离开。）“

    说完，尼克有些泄气地道：

    “i just cant say no to her， like always.（我只是从来无法拒绝她的请求。）“

    萨拉叹气：

    “setimes i really think you do indeed are spoiling her a lot.（有时候我真的觉得你十分非常特别纵容她。）“

    尼克站在一间昏暗的舱室门口，他终于发现了这唯一一间没有窗户的舱室。

    “and what happened to your grammar？need a kindergarten handbook?（你的语法没问题吗？来看看幼儿园课本？）“

    萨拉一扬手，尼克迈进舱室的腿被冻住。

    “take my words seriously， nick.（尼克，认真思考我的话。）”

    尼克低头敲了敲自己坚硬的膝盖，扭头看向萨拉：

    “spoiling is not always a bad thing. think about how you joined us， and how everyone joined us.（纵容并不总是坏事，回想一下你是怎么加入我们，还有其他人是怎么加入我们的）“

    萨拉微怔，随即目光温柔地笑了笑。确实，如果不是尼克对cybele的纵容，她和约翰就不会认识尼克他们，而他们这个佣兵团更不会成立。

    “now， lea-ve me alone. i need se rest.（现在，不要再烦我了，我需要一点休息。）“

    尼克说完，拖着被他自己扭断的半条腿跳进了房间，“嘭”地一声把其他人和他的右小腿一起关在了门外。

    “dont you think he is upset for se reason， twin?（你有没有觉得尼克因为某些原因不太开心？）“杰基尔突然出声问道。

    “yes he is upset. and guess why?（没错，他很不开心，来猜猜为什么？）”海德答道。

    “the date today!（因为今天的日期！）”杰基尔开心地答道。

    日期？今天是……

    约翰在胸前划了个十字，低头开始祈祷，约克咧着嘴开始唱起了生日歌，只不过听起来有点寂寞。

    萨拉在片刻的呆愣之后也惊呼出声：

    “oh my goodness! its today! today is cys birthday! the birthday of her 18!（天啊，是今天！今天是cy的十八岁生日！）“

    “poor nick， he must be very sad for missing her birthday.（可怜的尼克，他肯定很伤心，竟然错过了她的生日。）”杰基尔捂着胸口悲痛地道。

    “do you think he will shed his tears all over the ro，twin?（你觉得他会不会流满一屋子的眼泪？）“海德有些恶劣地一笑，猜测道。

    “or his blood?（或者流满一屋子的血？）“杰基尔有点担忧。

    双胞胎开始打赌，并且讨论起了赌注，萨拉在两人的一问一答中敲响了尼克的房门：

    “okay. nick. listen. whatever you are doing in that ro， clean it up when you finish. and try not to scare any staff here. it will be extremely embarrassing for us to get kicked out because of your nasty little hobby.

    （尼克，听着。不管你在里面做什么，记得在结束后把房间打扫干净。尽量不要吓到任何飞艇上的员工，如果我们因为你的一些小癖好被赶出去，这将会是一件非常令人尴尬的事情。）”

    “……”

    “you morons! get away fr my door! now!（你们！全部！给我！滚！离我远点！！）”
